Nico's Weg

    This was an interesting video to watch, I had allot of fun and pain watching this youtube movie. Pain you ask? Well full disclouser, this video has subtitle in it but doesn't have a emglish subtitle, I don't know why this youtube video doesn't have an english subtitle in it, so that's why it's allot of pain for me.

    Ok so, we start our journey in Köln airport in Germany, we're being introduce by our protagonist Nico Gonzales. As you can tell by the name, Nico's an outsider here, he's starting to learn deutsch step by step. He was listening to a small conversation using his headphone about how to greet people in germany, how people ask about "where are you come from", etc. So our protagonist is going up on to an escalator and the moment he step off the escalator, he met Emma, a young german kid that suddently bump into him. "That's a bag!" Emma said, obviously Nico's a bit confuse what she was saying about and Nico is try to play cool in this scenario. Then suddenly a women pick up emma and don't worry, she's not stranger, she's emma's aunt.

    Now this is getting intersting, after Nico left the airport, he saw the little girl that he meet before at the airport. She was playing bubbles, Nico was waiting for a taxi to come and pick him up. Waiting for the taxi to come, Nico is playing with Emma (the little girl from earlier) and he's giving his best shot at blowing bubbles. With his cluelessness, he didn't notice that his bag was being taken by a taxi driver, all of his belonging was inside that bag. Phone, Passport, clothes, etc. He lost allot of hope from that because now, he was trap inside a foreign country that he have knowledge on and can't speak the language very well. Luckly for him, there's Emma's aunt here to save the day.

    So this story builds up in an easy to learn way. It's still a fun movie to watch but I do recomend that you watch the movie using a piece of notes and try to translate everything for 10 minutes or more. Because, yet again there are no subtitle for english but there's a german subtitle which is very helpfull for me. But personally the build up for A1 was kinda strange and a specially for Nico. The protagonist should be a beginner in deutsch but, as the movie progress. He's deutch just becomes to good and it's really hard to catch up. 

Like for example :

3 minutes later:

3 minutes later:

Die Thermodynamik ist eine natur- und ingenieurwissenschaftliche Disziplin. Sie hat ihren Ursprung im Studium der Dampfmaschinen und ging der Frage nach, wie man Wärme in mechanische Arbeit umwandeln kann

Like uhhh, I know that this is A1 but cmon man! I'm struggling here *sad face*.

But luckly, when I scroll down in the comment section, there's someone who kindly helps allot of people by providing a tips and trick, to tackle this movie.

Tip 1: everyday watch 10 min.Pause and translate every word ,take notes

Tip 2 : practise the words / sentences you wrote

Tip 3: watch all over 10 min again but donts pause the video.

Tip 4: after you ve translated all video watch it all over again.

This was very helpful for me and luckly, I can watch this without going back and foward to a translator.

    So what do we learn here, If you want to learn Deutsch very quickly, go to Germany, and lose your bag. And drink Coca-Cola. That will help allot!
